How to install

Install on your Android phone

Button names vary a little between phone makers and Android versions.

  1. Download the file

Tap Download APK above. If the browser warns that “this type of file can harm your device,” tap Download anyway.

  2. Open it

When the download finishes, tap Open in the notification or at the bottom of the browser. You can also find it later in the Files app under Downloads.

  3. Allow installs from your browser

Android asks for permission the first time you install an app from outside the Play Store. Tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then press back.

You only need to do this once. You can turn it off again after installing.

  4. Install

Tap Install. Google Play Protect may say it doesn’t recognize the developer. That is expected for apps not yet on the Play Store: tap More details, then Install anyway.

  5. Open the app and finish setup

A short setup asks for your location and minhag. Then allow what the alarms need to ring on time:

    • Notifications, so the alarm can show on screen.
    • Alarms & reminders, so it rings at the exact minute.
    • Location (optional), for accurate zmanim. You can pick a city instead.

Then open Settings › Alarm check. It finds anything that could stop an alarm, such as battery saving, and fixes it with one tap.

Updating to a new version

Download the new APK from this page and install it the same way. Your alarms and settings are kept.

“App not installed”

This usually means an older copy from a different source is already on the phone. Uninstall it first, then install again.

An alarm didn’t ring

Run Settings › Alarm check first. Then open Settings › Alarm history and tap Send report, so we can see what happened.
